Multi-image, multi-video, and carousel posts in dlvr.it

Learn how dlvr.it handles multi-image and multi-video posts across social platforms — including which platforms support carousels, how many photos or videos each allows, and what happens when your input contains more media than the output supports.

Posts with multiple images or videos consistently outperform single-image posts across most social platforms. Carousels and multi-media posts drive higher engagement, give audiences more to interact with, and let you tell a richer story with your content — all without requiring any extra effort on your part once they're set up.

dlvr.it supports automatically passing multiple images and videos from your input sources through to your connected social channels. Different platforms have different limits, so this article covers exactly what each output supports.

1. How multi-image and video posts work in dlvr.it

dlvr.it can pull multiple images and videos from supported input sources — including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok — and publish them as multi-media posts to your connected outputs automatically.

A few things to know before you get started:

When an input has more media than the output supports, dlvr.it uses the items that appear first in the input and ignores the rest. For example, if your source contains 15 images but you're posting to X / Twitter (which supports up to 4), dlvr.it will use the first 4.

When an input contains both photos and video, and the output doesn't support combining them in a single post, dlvr.it will prioritize the video and ignore the photos.

When an input contains both photos and video, and the output does support mixed media posts (such as Instagram, Threads, or Nextdoor), both will be included up to the platform's limits.
