Troubleshooting your Facebook connection with dlvr.it

Having trouble connecting your Facebook Page to dlvr.it? This guide walks you through how to check your admin settings, fix permission issues, and reconnect your account from scratch.

If your Facebook Page isn't connecting to dlvr.it β€” or it was working and suddenly stopped β€” this guide will help you track down the issue and get things running again. Work through each section in order until your connection is resolved.

In this article

  1. Confirm you have a Facebook Page

  2. Check your admin settings

  3. Check your connection permissions on Facebook

  4. Reauthorize the connection between Facebook and dlvr.it

1. Confirm you have a Facebook Page

dlvr.it can only connect to Facebook Pages. Personal profiles and Facebook Professional profiles cannot be connected due to Facebook API restrictions.

If you're not sure what type of account you have, log into Facebook and check your profile β€” a Page will have a dedicated admin dashboard, while a personal profile will not.

Not sure if you have a Page or a profile? Look for the Professional Dashboard option when viewing your account. If you don't see it, you're likely on a personal profile.

2. Check your admin settings

To connect your Facebook Page to dlvr.it, your personal Facebook profile must have the Admin role with Full Control on that Page. Depending on how your Page was set up, you may need to check permissions in one or both of the following places.

A) Checking your Page's Professional Dashboard

  1. Log into Facebook on your computer.

  2. Click your avatar in the top right corner, then click See all profiles.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Facebook top-right avatar menu with "See all profiles" highlighted]

  3. Click on the Page you want to connect.

  4. Go to your Page Access settings β€” look for this under your Page's Settings menu.

  5. Click your name. A popup should appear confirming "This person has full control."

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Page Access settings showing the "Full control" confirmation popup]

  6. If it does confirm full control, you're set up correctly here. Next, check whether a Business Portfolio is listed on this page.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Page settings showing a Business Portfolio listed β€” highlight this section]

  7. If a Business Portfolio is listed, you must also check your permissions there β€” continue to Section B below.

  8. If there's no Business Portfolio listed and you don't have Full Control, someone on your team with Full Control will need to grant you the correct permissions before you can connect.

B) Checking your settings in Meta Business Suite

Note: If at any point you can't access a link or the screen doesn't match what's described here, it likely means you don't have access β€” skip to step 6.

  1. In the left-hand navigation, use the dropdown to select the correct Facebook Page.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Meta Business Suite left-hand navigation with the Page dropdown highlighted]

  2. Click People under the Users section. Find your name and confirm it shows Full control: Everything under Business Portfolio Access.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Meta Business Suite People settings showing "Full control: Everything" next to a user's name]

  3. Click Pages under the Accounts section, select your Page, and confirm your name appears with Full control: Everything toggled on.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Meta Business Suite Pages settings showing Full control toggled on for the correct user]

  4. If you don't have the right access, ask a team member with Admin access to grant you Full Control in Business Portfolio.

Two things worth knowing:

  • Facebook Pages can exist both inside and outside a Business Portfolio, which is why you may need to check both places.

  • If an Instagram account is linked to your Page, Meta automatically moves it into a Business Portfolio. You'll need the correct permissions there to connect Instagram as well.

3. Check your connection permissions on Facebook

Even if your admin settings look correct, dlvr.it may be missing the permissions it needs from Facebook. This is a common cause of connection problems β€” and it's easy to fix.

Important: These settings live on your personal Facebook profile, not on your Page. Make sure you're using Facebook as your profile before following these steps.

  1. Log into the personal Facebook profile that has admin access to your Page.

  2. Click the dropdown arrow in the top right of Facebook, then go to Settings & privacy > Settings.

  3. Click Business Integrations in the left-hand menu, or go directly to facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools.

  4. Find dlvr.it in the list and click View and Edit.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Facebook Business Integrations list with dlvr.it highlighted and "View and Edit" option visible]

  5. Scroll down to the list of Pages and make sure every box is checked. Click See all pages if needed to expand the full list, then tick any unchecked boxes.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Facebook permissions panel showing a list of Pages β€” some checked, some unchecked β€” with arrows indicating all should be selected]

If no individual Pages are listed here, it means dlvr.it already has permission to access all of your Pages β€” that's the ideal setup. In this case, skip to Section 4 and reauthorize the connection instead.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Head back to dlvr.it and try connecting your Facebook Page again. If it still doesn't connect, continue to the next section.

4. Reauthorize the connection between Facebook and dlvr.it

If none of the above steps resolved the issue, the most reliable fix is to remove dlvr.it from Facebook entirely and reconnect from scratch.

  1. In Facebook, go to Settings & privacy > Settings, then click Business Integrations (or go to facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools).

Make sure you're using Facebook as your personal profile, not as your Page.

  2. Find dlvr.it in the list and click Remove.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Facebook Business Integrations list with dlvr.it and the Remove button highlighted]

  3. A confirmation window will appear β€” click Remove to confirm.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Facebook confirmation popup asking to remove dlvr.it β€” highlight that this removes the app connection, not your dlvr.it account]

This removes dlvr.it's access within Facebook only. It does not affect your dlvr.it account or any of your settings.

  4. Go back to dlvr.it and reconnect your Facebook Page from scratch. When Facebook asks you to review permissions, leave everything as-is and click OK β€” do not uncheck anything.

πŸ“Έ [Screenshot: Facebook permissions popup during reconnection β€” highlight "Do NOT change anything here" and the OK button]

Facebook will show a "Choose what you allow" option during this step. This screen is required by Facebook, but changing any permissions here will prevent dlvr.it from authenticating correctly. Leave all settings as they are.

  5. If you're refreshing an existing connection rather than creating a new one, disconnect the channel in dlvr.it first, then follow the steps above to reconnect.
